OPC Drum Padding Powder (OPC DRUM CLEANER)

Purpose & Functions: Prevents Wiper Blade Flipping: Acts as a starter lubricant during cartridge reassembly, preventing the squeegee-style wiper blade from sticking to or flipping over the OPC drum during its initial rotations. Reduces Friction & Scratches: Minimizes surface friction on new OPC drums and Primary Charge Rollers (PCR), protecting delicate photosensitive drum coatings from early scratches. Extends Component Life: Reduces wear on drum surfaces and wiper blades during startup before standard toner flow takes over as a natural lubricant. Application Guidelines: Prepare the Drum: Ensure the new or recycled OPC drum is clean and free of oils or fingerprints using a lint-free cloth. Apply the Powder: Dust a tiny amount of padding powder onto a clean microfiber/lint-free cloth or cotton ball. Gently apply a paper-thin layer along the entire length of the OPC drum surface and onto the rubber lip of the wiper blade. Buff Thinly: Lightly buff it down until the layer is almost invisible; excess powder can cause temporary backgrounding or PCR contamination.
